Children will make new friends and have lots of fun in our encouraging dance classes, for all skill levels.
Group classes have 4–10 students for 8 or 16-week sessions, ending with either an in-studio observation or an on-stage recital for friends and family to attend.
Wear comfortable dance attire or exercise clothes. (Additional unique requirements will be listed in class descriptions.)
Ballet at the Old Town School is an introduction to the classical and modern dance styles for boys and girls. With ballet positions, terminology, basic steps, barre work, and floorwork, this class furthers your child's understanding of dance fundamentals, expression through movement, and graceful poise.
More InfoIn our fast-paced Jazz dance classes, we'll incorporate swing, African, hip-hop, salsa, and even a touch of ballet. Each week brings new moves and a new combination with its own unique approach. Our Hip-Hop classes will get your child up and moving and having fun! These classes will introduce dancers to the basic footwork, rhythms, musicality, and history of Hip-hop in a casual, friendly environment.
More InfoLearn fundamental dance steps and terminology, and use movement games and activities to learn combinations and encourage creativity. As your child progresses through the program, more challenging steps and combinations are introduced along with some dance history.
