Students in Old Town School's Kids Piano classes learn to play through engaging hands-on activities, visual art, movement, songs, and musical games. Energized, creative, and intuitive, our teaching artists develop thoughtful learning experiences that build a strong foundation of playing technique, music theory, and musicality. The Old Town School way is open, understanding, and imaginative. Our Kids Piano teachers are skilled pianists and professional musicians passionate about staying current with best teaching practices and passing on the art of playing piano. In tune with each child's own dreams and imaginings, our piano teachers create safe, nurturing classrooms; build caring relationships with families; and welcome young pianists into the whole musical experience of the Old Town School. We hope that experiencing our piano program inspires a life of music making.

Our private lessons like our group classes run in 8-week sessions, however, you can begin private lessons during any week in the session. Please call our customer service folks at 773.728.6000 to register as private lesson availability is based upon individual teacher schedules.
Lessons are scheduled weekly, for 30, 45 or 60 minutes, and are available every day of the week at our Lincoln Square and Lincoln Park locations. Our experienced and professional faculty will work with you to develop an individualized program that helps you achieve your musical goals.
