Accordion, Piano
Nathan enjoys teaching piano accordion and piano to all levels of students, with an emphasis on musicality, ear training, music theory, reading music, and singing while playing. He tailors his lessons to individual students’ abilities and goals, with a focus on building a strong musical foundation and experiencing the wonder of music. Nathan is equally comfortable teaching a student to play from sheet music as he is teaching to play songs by ear.
Nathan has decades of experience in piano, accordion, and vocal performance, including solo, orchestral, and small ensemble classical piano performance. He has also performed extensively on both piano and accordion in bands of varied genres including eclectic Americana, folk, blues, and Irish music. Nathan has a deep love of both classical piano as well as popular genres of music, and he joyfully shares this love with others.
