Piano and Guitar
Hello, I am Colin Kolasny, a piano and guitar teacher at Old Town School of Folk Music! Born and raised in Andersonville, Chicago has always been my home and musical mentor. I took piano lessons for 11 years as a kid and eventually began studying jazz piano, guitar and drum set as well as classical choral music when I was in high school at Jones College Prep. I graduated from St Olaf College in 2021 with a bachelors degree in East Asian Studies. In addition to teaching musical instruments, I am also a songwriter and record producer. I can be found performing with my band Corn on My Dinner Plate in the local music clubs, and you can listen to my compositions on any streaming platform. I am looking forward to meeting and studying music with you!
