The Global Dance Party series offers an exciting opportunity to experiment with dance styles from around the globe. Each evening will feature a dance class followed by two hours of music from live bands or DJs in our Myron R. Szold Music & Dance Hall.
Join these Chicago legends for a special night of steppin'! DJ Maurice "Ice" Culpepper has been spinning soul, funk, R & B, old school, hits and dusties for many years on Chicago's own V103 radio station. Ken Watkins leads the National Steppers Society and has been a dance instructor for decades. Chicago Style Steppin originated on Chicago's Southside in the 1990's and stems from such dance styles as the jitterbug and the bop.
