In honor of Women’s History Month, join us for for this introduction to the Martha Graham technique. As a pioneering American choreographer, Graham revolutionized modern dance by centering movement on the human spirit and the natural rhythm of the breath.
This workshop focuses on the "Contraction and Release," exploring how the simple act of breathing can create powerful, grounded movement. We will explore how to use the breath to find stability and ease, using the body’s natural weight to develop balance and fluidity. You will learn how to move from your physical center to find more strength and presence in your daily life, all while celebrating the legacy of a landmark woman artist.
This session is an opportunity to experience a legendary dance style in an environment that emphasizes personal exploration and the joy of movement.
