Tips and techniques for taking care of your voice.
The nice thing about a voice as an instrument is that you don’t have to worry about forgetting it somewhere or having to lug it around in a heavy case. Unfortunately, that also means when you aren’t feeling well, or you're tired, or spent the day yelling at your favorite sports team, your voice can pay the price.
This two-hour workshop will give you an idea of how your voice works, some ideas of things you can do to keep your voice healthy, and what to do when you aren’t feeling well, or when you lose your voice. We will also learn and practice some exercises and techniques to warm up our voices and improve vocal stamina and strength.
This workshop is open to all levels of voice users and singers. Bring a bottle of water and wear comfortable clothing you can move in!
