Michael is an innovator with five decades of creating new musical pathways, ever expanding the repertoire of what is possible with clawhammer banjo. In this class, students will step beyond old time and bluegrass repertoire by exploring what is possible with song accompaniment and arrangement of folk songs, rock and roll, blues, improvisation and composition. Repertoire for the class can come, in part, from student suggestions. For intermediate players who can read tablature.
