This workshop is for anyone who’s struggled to understand the basics of Western music theory and how it applies to songs and songwriting. We’ll look at chords and keys, how melodies are derived from chords and how to use the basics of theory to your advantage when you are creating your own songs. We’ll listen to examples and there will be plenty of time for Q & A. Though this will be focused on songwriting, the workshop could be helpful to anyone who’s struggled to understand how chords and keys work together in songs.
