Dive into the vibrant world of Ukrainian Village Dance with our exciting workshop, featuring live music by the renowned Lemon Bucket Orkestra! Known for their unique blend of traditional and contemporary sounds, and high-energy performances, Lemon Bucket Orkestra will provide the unique opportunity to learn and dance to the accompaniment of live musicians, as you explore the rich traditions of Ukrainian dance from villages across Ukraine. Not to be confused with Ukrainian stage or performative dance, these dances are communal, easy and guaranteed to make you laugh! Collected and preserved by ethnomusicologists in Ukraine, these dances were historically danced at community events like weddings and cultural celebrations. Think “line dancing” or “the bus stop,” but Ukrainian style!


This workshop is suitable for all ages and skill levels, making it a perfect activity for families and friends. Lemon Bucket Orkestra’s Stephania will guide you through various circle, partner, and group dances, ensuring a fun and engaging experience in a supportive and inclusive environment!
