In this five-part series, Prof. Donovan Mixon will present Study Concepts for developing a musical ear. He calls it developing your MA.P, your Musical Aural Perception. For a complete experience, he recommends that you attend from the beginning since the basic tools of the course, Movable Do & Solfege Syllables will be introduced and fleshed out most completely in the first session.
There will be lots of class participation in the form of singing and singback dictations. Some writing will be incorporated as well. Be sure to bring along a writing tool in the form of manuscript paper and pencils.
