Each session, we’ll dive into some of McCartney’s different bass approaches including R&B/Motown based lines (‘I Saw Her Standing There’, ‘Can’t Buy Me Love’), pop accompaniment (‘Help!’, ‘She Loves You’), scales (‘Hello Goodbye, All You Need Is Love’), jazzy walking basslines (‘Penny Lane’, “All My Loving'), innovative wide-ranging arpeggios (‘Come Together’, ‘Nowhere Man’), and syncopation (‘Tomorrow Never Knows’, ‘Ticket To Ride’).
We’ll also look at McCartney’s unique approach to improvisation (‘Something’, ‘Don’t Let Me Down’.) Get inspired, and learn from one of the masters of bass!
