Many of the harp's distinctive sounds come from "note-bending" -- techniques varying the tones produced by the reeds, lowering them by as much as a note and a half. For this class, you must be able to consistently produce clear single tones and move smoothly from hole to hole. Various techniques, exercises, and selected songs will be used to create and develop this skill.
