Old Time Fiddle Workshops
The world of old time fiddle tunes is huge and so varied. Bruce will take participants through some of the nuts and bolts of melody, ornaments and how to use the bow as the ultimate rhythm device. We’ll use all of these and learn a couple of great old tunes in detail.

Each of the first three sessions will take us to a different region with a rich, unique style and repertoire. In the fourth session, the focus will be on singing with the fiddle, combining voice and instrument into one bigger voice, something Bruce has taken in his own personal direction for many years.

Grammy-nominated, and  “one of America’s premier fiddling talents” (Mother Jones), Bruce's take on tradition has landed him in collaborations with some of the world's most highly respected players from roots to rock. Berklee College of Music has made Bruce their Visiting Scholar in the American Roots Music Program where Bruce is the go-to guy for the next generation of roots musicians.
