Young Voices
Meg Rieger is a Music Educator from Chicago. Her teaching style fosters teamwork, cooperation, and empathy. She loves teaching songs and music games that help kiddos connect with each other and find joy!
Meg was an educator in Chicago Public Schools for 13 years, most recently at Audubon School. In addition to that, she previously taught at the Old Town School for 5 years and served as an Arts Instructional Specialist with Chicago Public Schools for 2 years. Meg has her level 1 Kodaly certification from DePaul University and serves on the Chicago Area Kodaly Educator’s board as membership secretary. Meg earned her Bachelor’s degree in both elementary education and music at Illinois Wesleyan in 2011 and her Master’s Degree in Music Education at Northwestern University in 2018.
Outside of the Old Town School, Meg works with student teachers at The Chicago Center for Urban Life and Culture. She loves exploring the city with her husband, dog, and son, especially sampling great pizza!
