Leah’s students often enjoy learning new skills and songs (including artists of their choice), playing by ear, making new arrangements, and performing by themselves or with others. She aims to create a warm and welcoming environment by encouraging students to learn at their own pace with what interests them most.
Leah studied piano for 15 years and won several classical performance competitions in southern Indiana. As a K-12 Spanish teacher for the last 8 years in Indiana and Kentucky, she also served as a school accompanist for ensembles and a director for a musical theatre club. She enjoys exploring works of Debussy and other Romantic period composers on the piano, singing in choirs, and dabbling with the cello and other string instruments. Favorite pop artists include Kesha, Sia, Coldplay, Calle 13, and many DJ remixes.
