Julia Storke

Julia Storke is a multi-instrumentalist and educator with an established international career. Along with teaching at the Old Town School, Julia instructs early childhood educators in North Lawndale through an Old Town School guitar fellowship that provides paid training to teachers in guitar and voice. She is honored to work with very young students and their teachers in this unique and transformative setting. Julia believes that music should be accessible to all and uses this philosophy in her rhythm-based approach to learning. Julia has lived, taught and performed music in a wide variety of countries, including China, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, and Kenya. She is a multiple grant recipient who began
performing at a young age. During her early days in acting, she was encouraged to develop her singing voice. She enjoys blending her theatre training with her music experience to guide her students in lively and engaging lessons and performances.

Julia is proficient in Spanish and loves learning new languages.
