At 88 years old, Erwin Helfer has had a long and esteemed career in music. Erwin recently retired from playing piano publicly, but in May 2024, he is releasing a new recording of duets with Spanish boogie pianist Lluis Coloma. The Sirens Records is taking this opportunity to celebrate Erwin's life and music.

Lluis and Erwin's friends and bandmates in the Chicago Boogie Ensemble, including Katherine Davis, John Brumbach, Jeff Parker, and Davide Ilardi, will perform in Erwin's honor. Erwin will attend and speak but not perform.

The show will open with Reverend Scottie Williams, senior pastor at the historic Christ Tabernacle M.B. Church of Austin, legendary gospel pianist Elsa Harris, bass virtuoso Richard Gibbs, and drummer Kenard Pulliam. We are celebrating the Reverend's inaugural release “Beams of Heaven” on The Sirens Records.
