Chicago Latin Brass Ensemble, directed by Cuban musician Yendrys Céspedes, was founded in Chicago in September 2022. Making its debut performance, the ensemble is composed of instruments such as trumpet, flugelhorn, French horn, alto and tenor saxophones, trombones, cimbasso, and tuba, in addition to minor percussion, for a total of 10 members from different countries such as Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and the USA. Their repertoire is based on concert music with arrangements by Yendrys Céspedes (cimbasso, tuba, and conductor) featuring more than 20 pieces including both originals and adaptations of Latin music classics arranged in a modern style.
