A torch song shares the deepest feelings of something longed for: Perhaps a lost childhood, a lost dream, or a lost love. A torch can also mean wisdom, tradition, or knowledge. The Chicago Cabaret Professionals' Passing the Torch will pair popular cabaret veterans as they share the stage and decades of wisdom with Chicago's brightest new talents. Cabaret encompasses many musical genres – from folk and jazz to Broadway and comedy.
