Join our celebration of the Old Town School of Folk Music's 60th Anniversary with a grand tribute concert featuring performances from our revered Old Town School teaching artists, our talented friends, and this year's Distinguished Teaching Artist Award winners.
The event takes a musical stroll through the decades of the Old Town School, from its nascent stages rooted in the folk boom of the late ‘50s, to its present day, kaleidoscopic tapestry of music and culture from down the street, across the country, and around the globe.
Tonight's celebration also includes the opening reception for Old Town School's Walking History featuring an interactive exhibit of the school's history through photos and videos, integrated with a downloadable mobile app Vamonde for easy, user-friendly guidance.
This evening's event is free for Old Town School members, and pay-what-you-want for non-members to raise money for Old Town School financial aid program and outreach programs.
Featuring: Bill Brickey, Peggy Browning, Dill Costa, Mark Dvorak, Artemis Gathings, Bau Graves, Maura Lally, Steve Levitt, Colby Maddox, Jason McInnes, Reggio “the Hoofer” McLaughlin, Shelley Miller, Nicole Sandu, Jacob Sweet, Jimmy Tomasello, Chris Walz
