Write a Musical!
Ever wonder how a story becomes a musical? Is your head swimming with all those hummable tunes? Do you love to talk about - er, sing about - Bruno? In this camp we will explore the role of music in storytelling, create songs together, and map out a mini-musical using a well-known folk or fairy tale as our frame. Campers will learn about types of songs, play musical improvisation games, develop singable lyrics, and have the opportunity to collaborate or work individually on a song for a play. We will end the week with a video of our creations so family at home can enjoy.
