This fun, introductory class introduces kids to musical concepts, rhythms, beginner chords (Em, G, C) and simple riffs and melodies on guitar (on the high E and B strings). Kids learn to play a repertoire of simple tunes. Learning in a group encourages students to listen and build a community for collaboration and performance. Students should remain in Beginning Strummers for at least two sessions before moving to Intermediate Strummers. Students should bring a guitar to class.
