Gustavo Cortiñas presents an interdisciplinary work of poetry, video, and music to tell the story of Colonialism, Imperialism and Neoliberalism in Latin America. Desafio Candente is inspired by Eduardo Galeano's Open Veins of Latin America and with permission of his widow Elena Villagra.

"Cortiñas is a highly musical and grooving drummer, as well as a laudable composer… his music is surprisingly danceable…groove-shifter, high-energy precision soloing, framed by vivid ideas. A joyful meeting of mind and spirit.” - Modern Drummer
