Instruments are grouped into families based on how they make sounds. In this hands-on workshop, kids and their caregivers will learn about basic percussion, string, and wind instruments. The workshop will wrap up with a classroom jam session where everyone participates in the music making! Kids ages: 3 - 6 yrs. At least one adult per family/registration is expected to attend.
Maryanne Johnson is a long time and much loved music teacher at the Old Town School of Folk Music. She also teaches Early Childhood Music at St. Benedicts in Chicago. Maryanne studied piano performance at Wayne State University in Detroit.
