Jazz Piano 102 is a continuation of Jazz Piano 101.
Jazz Piano 102 will focus on Part 2 of the Jazz Piano Handbook, by Michele Weir. Material covered will include: open voicings, pianistic textures and how to harmonize a melody. Students will learn how to apply jazz piano concepts to pop tunes by The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and other tunes of your choice. At the end of the session students will have the opportunity to perform on a Jazz Piano Showcase.
