This song was always played on the guitar by the masterful and joyous Chicagoan, Steve Goodman. But, it is a train song which calls out for the ring of the banjo. And the train still runs, Chicago to Memphis to New Orleans. The recording below is an instrumental rendering of this tune. We'll add a rhythm, chords and vocals too.

These workshops include detailed instruction, professional tablature, and audio. These workshops are for intermediate players who can read tablature and have experience with clawhammer technique. Special attention will be paid to developing the right-hand groove for each song. A few days after you enroll, you'll receive the tablature so you can start on the song before the workshop.
