Adult Group Class / Fiddle & Cello Program
Say hello to the cello for the first time. In this class you will be introduced to the instrument, the basics of tuning, making sound and how to hold the bow. You will also be introduced to note reading and playing by ear. If you have played cello before and know the basics, you may want to start in Cello 2.
Grouped with: Outside
80 minutes
Weekly for 6 weeks
No experience necessary. Start here if you are new to playing cello.
This class takes place OUTSIDE under our tented parking lot in Lincoln Square (on the east side of Lincoln Ave, between Sunnyside and Wilson) rain or shine.
We’re excited to make music in person again, but we take the safety of our community very seriously. Classes are capped at 9 students. Masks are required for all participants. Participants must also complete a self attestation.
Your teacher will tune your cello at the beginning of class, which will help you learn how to tune your instrument yourself.
Bring your own cello, Suzuki Cello School Book 1, and a recording device (optional).
