The iPad can be used as an incredibly expressive, powerful musical instrument and tool for music creation. We will explore how to use the iPad in live performance situations as a soloist, integrated into a band, and as a stand alone music production tool. We will talk about gathering sound sources and how to implement and manipulate sounds for creative music making. Although we will talk about ideas that can be applied to a wide variety of iPad apps, participants should have the Samplr app installed on their device.
