A introductory workshop to Ethiopian music by Akalé Wubé, a band dedicated to Ethiopian grooves since 2008. The band will go through a brief history of Ethiopian music, play a few Ethiopian standards, traditional grooves and forms, traditional instruments in traditional as well as a modern contexts. There will be a basic review of the main Ethiopian scales as well as a hands on session for musicians who want to participate in the workshop.
