Production Intern
The Concerts & Events team at The Old Town School seeks a Production Intern
to begin in January, 2009. This volunteer-based position requires 16 to 20
hours a week. Hours are flexible but will include some scheduled weekend
assignments.
Primary responsibilities are assisting with preparation for concerts
including processing tickets, arranging artist catering and travel, some
marketing and promotions, preparing documentation for concert staff, and
other duties as needed. Current students requiring college credit preferred.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail oriented and able to
work independently on projects.

Camp Counselor for Summer Camp
Part-time, June 17-August 14, 2009
The Old Town School of Folk Music seeks camp counselors for Summer Camp 2009. Responsibilities include guiding campers through the 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM camp day, Monday through Friday, for eight weeks. This requires participating in music, dance, and theater classes and leading outdoor activities.
Applicants for the counselor position must have at least 2 years experience
working with children ages 6-10. A background in the arts is required. Applicants must have completed at least two years of an undergraduate arts or education program and should have lots of energy, patience, and creativity. The ideal candidate will be extremely comfortable supervising, teaching, and managing children. Organization, leadership, and a dedication to one's work community are all necessary.
A serious commitment to working with children is absolutely essential!

Filmmaking Instructor for Summer Camp
Part Time, July 20-August 14, 2009
The Old Town School of Folk Music seeks a filmmaking instructor for Summer Camp 2009. Responsibilities include creating a curriculum to introduce children ages 6-10 to the art of filmmaking, examining the process of the medium with students, and engaging students in a hands-on learning process. The class will culminate in the production of an original, student-driven film to be screened at the camp recital on August 14.
The ideal candidate for this instructor position will have at least 3 years experience working with children ages 6-10. A background and/or degree in film, as well as a bachelor’s degree, are both required. Instructor should have lots of energy, patience, and creativity and should be extremely comfortable teaching and managing children. Organization, leadership, and a dedication to one’s work community are all necessary.
