How to earn recertification credit

Come to our Front Desk at 4544 N. Lincoln or 909 W. Armitage to sign up, and bring your CPS pay stub for 10% off!
Contact Melissa Mallinson at the beginning of the session in which you're taking a class, workshop, or private lesson. Make sure your instructor knows you're trying to get the CPDUs, too. If s/he looks confused, you may need to explain it to them, or just have them call me.
You must attend at least 80% of the dates class is held. CPDUs will be given for those hours you attend class. It is the instructor's right to decide if you have not attended enough of the classes to satisfy learning the curriculum. We hope you can demonstrate that you learn something valuable to your development as a teacher and artist! For extra credit, complete a special project, like a sample lesson plan for your students, essay, or original song. You'll earn CPDUs for each hour you spend on the project.
You must complete two state forms available from Melissa or online: ISBE 77-21A (Evaluation of Workshop, Conference, Seminar, etc.) and ISBE 77-21B (Evidence of Completion Form). If you have questions about items on the forms, feel free to ask Melissa.
Enjoy your class! Return your completed forms at the end of the class or workshop to Melissa, who will authorize them and return copies to you for submittal to the ISBE.
