I had a blast! About "Paddy on the Turnpike": I learned it from a recording (LP) of Thomas Hal "Tommy" Hunter. He was from around Mars Hill, NC in beautiful Madison, Co. I played this LP for Rhys Jones many years ago and he learned this and another, "Big Cabin", both of which he recorded on one of his projects.
