Fiddle 3 Improv and Fiddle Waltzes

Hello fiddlers, fiddle teachers, and others,

I’m starting a new session of my improvisation and waltz classes at Old Town.

Fiddle 3 Improvisation is Saturdays at 2:30. It teaches you how to take solos in simple songs and is great for people who have learned tunes or played classical but don’t know what to do when they are called on to “jam.” This is a “fiddle” class but mandolins, violas, and cellos have also shown up and benefited.

The Fiddle Waltzes is Saturdays at 4:00. It has an ensemble feel (it’s open to all instruments) and ends in a dance where we play waltzes for dancers. Both classes start October 30th

If you’ve already taken one of these classes, perhaps you’ll consider taking the other.

Hope to see some of you or your students next session
