  • Shadow and Light is the contemporary classical musical duo of Anindo Bose and Pavithra Chari. With the sole focus of creating original music, they have written and independently released three full length albums worldwide to critical acclaim. Having varied musical influences and inspirations, the duo fuses genres of Hindustani classical, contemporary, jazz, pop, electronica and soul to create
    cinematic soundscapes and compositions in Hindi, English and Tamil. Anindo is a core member of popular fusion octet Advaita, and Pavithra is a disciple of acclaimed Hindustani classical vocalist Shubha Mudgal.

    Pavithra Chari is a trained Hindustani classical vocalist currently under the tutelage of her guru Smt. Shubha Mudgal and a recipient of the Sahitya Kala Parishad scholarship 2017. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and a UNESCO certified expressive arts based therapist. She recently received a scholarship by the Goethe Institute Chennai for a music residency at AR Rahman's KM Conservatory.

    Anindo Bose is a keyboard player, music producer, arranger and a live sound engineer and has been in the independent music scene for over 15 years. He runs Plug 'N' Play Studios, one of the finest recording studios in New Delhi, India.
