Afro-Haitian culture has made immense contributions to global music and the modern dance world. Join us for a rare opportunity to engage with Afro-Haitian folkloric dance traditions, including yanvalou, congo and ibo. The class will cover fundamental movement vocabulary, and students will learn about timing, technique, and improvisation. Also, there will be live drumming!
