Join Michael Hensen for a workshop exploring the chord choices and fingerpicking methods found in some of his most iconic pieces. First of all, we will look at how James Taylor uses the A add 9 chord so effectively in Secret o’ Life, Company Man, and Wandering. You will learn the classic intro and turnaround to Steamroller, which can be applied to any blues song in the key of E. Then we will turn our attention to the techniques used to play Walking Man, including his signature A and E licks, moving bass lines, and passing chords.
