Unprecedented in popular music for their quantity and quality of great songs, The Beatles were a self-contained compositional powerhouse. Learn the techniques and tricks of how John Lennon, Paul McCartney and George Harrison sculpted lyrics, chords and melodies into timeless classes. We’ll examine the songwriting evolution from their early Beatlemania, middle psychedelic, and later back-to-basics periods. We’ll examine how collaboration versus editing helped them tackle writing impasses. Most importantly, we’ll discuss how to draw inspiration from the Beatles classics without slavishly copying them. A workshop designed for all levels of songwriters and Fab Four fanatics!
